Bye bye Bloo

Postby Maddybelle16 on Wed Dec 21, 2011 11:52 pm

My blue apple snail, Bloo, died earlier today. :sad2: He hadn't been doing so well the last week or so. He was the oldest, largest snail in my tank, and my little ivory Grace's best friend. I know some people will say I'm silly, snails don't form friendships, but all of mine seem to have paired off, seemingly with no regards to gender or size. :snail: Bloo was already a senior snaily when I got him, and lived longer than I expected. R.I.P. big guy.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost Bloo. Many aquatic snails seem to "buddy up" either in pairs or groups as do some land invertebrates like hermit crabs, so I wouldn't say it should be considered unusual.
