I'll pipe in on this subject, even though I don't actually
post here too often. (lurker) I actually came in here to ask advice on how to launch a complaint campaign. And lo&behold it's already stickied
A walmart opened 2.2 kilometers from my house, (newmarket, ontario) and since it's been opened, about a year, I have just been riding my bike over there every afternoon to grab whatever we want for dinner stick it in a backpack. (

I get almost 5k on my bike, and I can shop without the kiddos double bonus!)
I've complained and complained, talked to the shift supervisors (for am, afternoon, and evening shifts) talked to the various people whom answer the bell (there is no one person in the pet area at any given time, you have to ring a bell and someone comes) called the 'customer service hotline' and called to the Canadian Walmart headquarters.
All of the tanks (24 29gals and 3 72gals) are either filthy and overstocked with sick fish, (or if you go back in 4-5 days, empty, spotless clean tanks) every fish I've ever laid eyes on in that store, has had ich. I talked to one of the girls yesterday, she said that the people on the afternoon shift have "primary care" of the fish area. So I started asking her about what they had to do and how often they did water changes, testing, and so on. She told me that they {paraphrasing}aren't allowed to use any of the testing materials or Ich meds, except for the cloudy water treatment and algae remover treatment. they 'never' do water changes except to top up for evaporation.
They don't usually have snails at all, yesterday was the first time I've ever actually seen snails there. There had to be 50 ivory and golden bridgs in ONE of the 29gal tanks. About 85% dead.

I could only rescue one, because I have a 5gal tank, and I have a vivipardus in there already. I got the last one still closed up and bobbing. He/She is currently eating some leftover greenbeans we had for supper, and a calcium tab, but here are a few pics I got earlier when he realized he was out of snail hell. And one of him and my viv.
