My workplace

Hey, I am glad I have found a forum like this on snail experts. I work at a PetSmart and basically, I don't think any of us know anything about snails except for me because I have them as pets. I work as a Small Animal Specialist and I basically am more around the fish tanks than anywhere else. In our aquatic plant tank, we have black and gold Apple snails kept together in a small critter cage with a lid on it in the water with no air for them to breath. Basically, almost all the snails die all the time and having snails myself, I learned that they do need air to breath. I have a lot of knowledge about animals and their health because I also work at the Audubon Zoo and seeing these snails like that with no food at all and no air to breath, I consider this to be cruel. Because it is a retail business, I am always screwed over on hours all the time and they always blame me for stuff that happens that happens around the store. They accused me of leaving cage doors open in the Habitat where they keep birds and small animals (I have tons more common sense than ever do something stupid like that, especially working at a zoo) and they accused me of other things behind my back, snotty bratty teenage female employees, you know how it is. I occasionally sneak in shrimp pellets, fish flakes, and zuccini cuttings in the little snail cage for them to eat and they swarm all over it because they need food because nobody else will feed them. What should I do to stop this abuse? How can I convince them that the snails need air and food to live? I don't want to do it by myself because they are trying to find more excuses to blame me for everything bad that happens there.
