So sad.

I went back to the pet store day where i keep haveing problems with every snail i ever got from them,but any how they are the only locals who carry brigs,i went in there a noticed beautifull goldens,looking at them i noticed that most all of the shell were empty.sadly someone put a clown loach in the snail tank.I know loches are suspost to do that but the little guys did't have a fighting chance,the guy felt bad too he was going to take him out.And move hiim in with the other loaches.

Hey,
You know I have found that most LFS are not well educated on fish and their behavior. Unfortunately, all we can do is TRY to educate, and hope that it sinks in. That was a very bad mistake, and one that most fish hobbyists should know. At least he recognized it as a mistake, some people that work in LFS around here, they just insist that beacause they have the shop name on their shirt that they know better than the more experienced hobbyists that frequent their stores
. Not to mention that most people that look into the snail tanks think of them as throw away pets, and don't really care wether or not they survive to complete a sale. Alas, that's why when people like you, and I'm sure everyone on this board, go in and try to explain things like this, they look at us like we are NUTS!!!

Fluval sucks. And the thing with filters is you want them to suck. The more they suck the better they work. Nothing sucks more than a Fluval Get it right, EHEIM RULES!

Snailnewbie, that is just so sad. Those poor snails didn't stand a chance 
At least the lfs person knew it was a mistake to house a loach in with them, although he should have gotten it out sooner!

show them up real good then offer to buy the store...worked for me
my boss at my current job (until my loan goes through) moved ALL the clown loaches in with the snails because he had them in with albino clawed frogs who, wonder of wonders, tried to eat them. THE CLOWN LOACH ID TAG EVEN SAYS THEY EAT SNAILS! You'd think the idiot would figure it out. I can't believe he outranks me.
