One aquarium...

The other day, I went to an aquarium and guess what I saw?A 2 litre tank crammed with snails!
2 foot tank:
3 generations of solid red endlers
3 juvenile Ancistrus sp 3
1 Rineloricaria sp"Red"
9 Corydoras Pygmeus
A lot of red ramshorn snails

I've seen that as a tank within a tank--to keep wandering apple snails from making pet store employees' jobs harder.
Did you say anothing to the owner/employees?

If you approach someone in a unthreatening, uncritical manner, you'd be surprised who'll listen.
I'd say something like, "I thought I'd run something by you...I'm a snail owner, and I talk to other people who like snails. I think you'd sell more snails if you put them in a bigger tank. People like to see the different colors, look for nice shells, and even see their interesting behavior." Suggest a bubbler, decorations to climb...Mention species of fish that aren't compatible (no one likes to see/smell a dead snail or empty shells littering the bottom any more than they like dead fish).
